Week 3 of the Summer term was another great week in school. Our writing journals are now well up and running and the children are getting more and more confident each time they use them to write independently. This week Jessica did a particularly great job of writing in her journal and using all the skills she has been learning all year to write sentences. She is able to use the phoneme strip for any sounds she doesn’t know how to write, which is now only the digraphs. She is able to use the sentence hand more accurately to remember some finger spaces and she is able to remember all her words to write the full sentence.
Well done JESSICA for being our Writer of the Week!
In Maths we did lots of learning about time and being able to say what happened when during the day. We started to use the clocks to make some o’clock times. Raya worked particularly hard this week and was able to say the o’clock times with support when she made them on her clock.
